About the role:

We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Officer to join our dynamic Finance team based in Balcatta on a permanent full-time basis.

Reporting to the Coordinator of Finance, this role is responsible for managing the full accounts receivable function across our aged care, community, and independent living services. You’ll be part of a supportive environment where your contributions make a real impact on the lives of our residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately admit and discharge customers in Epicor for various care types.
  • Generate fortnightly, daily, and monthly resident and community billing.
  • Process direct debits and maintain accurate Epicor records.
  • Handle EFTPOS payments, sundry invoicing, workers comp, and vehicle charges.
  • Process RAD, community, and probate refunds in line with policy and legislation.
  • Generate statements, follow up on debt, and manage rejections.
  • Manage Services Australia letters via post and Proda, updating customer accounts.
  • Provide support across the Finance team, assist with reconciliations, reporting, and general tasks.

Key Requirements

  • Certificate III or IV in Accounting, Finance, or Business (desirable) with previous experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
  • Aged care experience is essential, with strong working knowledge of aged care government billing processes, including RAD, DAP, BDCF, and MTCF.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliation processes.
  • Proficiency in Epicor or similar financial/accounting software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated customer service focus, with the ability to manage sensitive and complex queries professionally.
  • Able to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
