The role:
We are currently seeking a Clinical Team Leader in Occupational Therapy to join our Community Team within Juniper.
In this rewarding role, you will be a valued member of our Community Allied Health Leadership and multidisciplinary team ensuring that we are delivering high-quality, resident-focused Occupational Therapy services to both residential and transitional care program customers. Occupational therapy input is a vital part of this process including assessment of the home environment.
Reporting directly to the Allied Health Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Occupational Therapists and Podiatrists in the community team.
This is a permanent full time position working Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the Occupational Therapy and Podiatry teams
- Oversee onboarding and recruitment of the Occupational Therapy and Podiatry teams
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovation, explore new service models, and contribute to research partnerships.
- Monitor and improve service outcomes through data analysis, audits, feedback processes, and evaluation of clinical risks.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to Juniper’s policies and procedures.
- Ensure service delivery is in line with Juniper’s policies and procedures
Key Requirements:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist (essential).
- Previous experience as an OT in aged care (desirable).
- Proven ability to supervise and lead a team
- Empathy for elderly clients and the ability to work effectively with other health professionals and service providers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Current Australian driver’s licence.
