Exciting Opportunity: Clinical Educator (Parental Leave Cover – Bentley Site)
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Educator to join our team on a 9-month fixed-term basis to cover parental leave. This role is available as full-time (Monday to Friday) or part-time, with part-time applicants required to be available on Mondays and Tuesdays.
This opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Physiotherapist who is enthusiastic about clinical education, mentoring, and professional development within the aged care sector.
As a Clinical Educator, you will:
- Develop, deliver, and coordinate nursing education programs that support best-practice clinical care.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and evidence-based practices.
- Align education initiatives with organisational development needs.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- This role involves travel between metro sites to deliver clinical training. Occasional rural or remote travel may also be required and will be negotiated as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate, and facilitate clinical education programs for nursing staff
- Provide on-the-job training, mentoring, and competency assessments
- Support professional development and capability-building programs
- Ensure compliance with aged care regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies
- Implement and manage education systems, audits, and reporting processes
- Assist with workforce development planning to support clinical excellence
Key Requirements:
- Significant clinical nursing experience, preferably in aged care or acute care settings
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Strong background in developing and delivering clinical education programs
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, and supporting nursing teams
- Sound knowledge of aged care funding models (AN-ACC, Mandatory National Quality Indicator Program, Aged Care Quality Standards, and SIRS)
- Understanding of adult learning principles and competency-based assessment
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
