Volunteering with Junction

Junction is a non-denominational social enterprise helping more than 10,000 South Australians each year through a wide range of programs and support. This includes domestic violence and homelessness services; emergency housing; counselling; mentoring; community centres and residential care for children and young people under the Guardianship of the Chief Executive who can’t be placed with foster families.

Junction also provides affordable housing for those on low incomes managing around 2,500 properties across the State.

Volunteering with Junction Australia (Junction) offers the opportunity to work in a diverse range of services including Corporate Services, Housing and Community Services, particularly in our Community Centres and Events Management.

At Junction we take volunteering very seriously and ensure that our volunteers are given positions that are meaningful and worthwhile – roles that really contribute to the important work we do.

To become a Junction volunteer you will need to either have or undertake a Criminal History clearance and attend relevant and important training such as Safe Environments for Children and Young People. Junction is committed to ensuring that our workplace is safe and free from known risks to the health and safety of employees, volunteers, students, and people we work with. Due to the nature of our services, we are unable to provide Volunteering opportunities within the residential houses at Junction.

All new volunteers receive a full induction into working at Junction. We encourage our volunteers to participate in the life of the organisation in the same way as our paid staff – attending our annual conference and enjoying the benefits associated with a community service organisation.

How to Apply:

To express your interest in becoming a Volunteer, please submit your application via Humanforce. You will be prompted to become a member of our talent community, complete several questions and upload your resume. Please ensure these documents are ready before you begin your application.

Junction is an equal opportunity employer that embraces a culture of diversity. We encourage applications from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, people with disability, and people from every culture, gender and sexuality identity, age and ethnic background. Junction is committed to being a Child Safe organisation and has zero tolerance for child and family abuse.
