What is our opportunity?

As an Employment Consultant, your role will be to empower individuals with a disability, injury or a health condition, to achieve and maintain meaningful and sustainable employment. Required to meet specific targets, you will provide tailored guidance/coaching, job placement and ongoing support to your client group. In addition, you will also identify new opportunities with local employers that align with our participants goals and needs.

Your commitment to understanding the unique employment needs of your clients and collaborating with employers to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity, is a key driver of success in this role.

Experience within Employment Services or Customer Service/Sales industry will be highly advantageous but is not essential for the role. A qualification such as a Cert IV in Employment Services is also highly regarded, but not an essential requirement.

A valid Police Check and Working with Children Check are mandatory requirements prior to commencement of employment. Successful candidates must set up a myGovID in order to access Government data aligned to role.

 

Who are you?

You are committed to making a difference through connecting and supporting your clients into sustainable employment. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, bringing experience in coaching, mentoring, and case management within employment services or a related field. Problem-solving and goal-setting abilities are essential, alongside a solid understanding of the local labour market and employment pathways. Organisational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in administrative and IT tasks will also be important. Adaptability and resilience are key traits, as you navigate the diverse needs of job seekers and employers alike.

You must be able to balance empathy, dignity, and respect in your daily work with a drive to ensure we achieve positive business outcomes.
