Overview of our role
The Low Voltage Network Manager plays a key role in shaping the future of Jemena's low-voltage network and supporting the transition to a smarter, more connected energy system. Using advanced analytics, smart meter insights and emerging network visibility capabilities, you'll help unlock network capacity, improve performance and support the safe integration of consumer energy resources.
Working collaboratively across Asset Management, Operations, Digital and Customer teams, you'll provide data-driven insights and practical recommendations that help address emerging network challenges, enhance customer outcomes and support informed investment decisions. What You'll Bring
- Experience leading and supporting teams of technical and analytical specialists, fostering collaboration, capability development and continuous improvement.
- Experience within electricity distribution networks, with a strong understanding of low-voltage network performance, planning and operations.
- Demonstrated ability to use network, AMI/smart meter and operational data to identify emerging trends, network constraints and improvement opportunities.
- Experience developing and enhancing network models, performance frameworks, standards and reporting capabilities that support informed decision-making.
- Proven success partnering across technical, planning, operations and digital teams to deliver practical solutions and meaningful business outcomes.
- Experience supporting investment planning, network augmentation and regulatory submissions through evidence-based analysis and network performance insights.
Qualifications / Certifications & Experience
- LV network principles, including connectivity, phase allocation, transformer-to-customer mapping and as-built/as-operated topology.
- AMI/smart meter data applications for voltage monitoring, outage detection, phase imbalance and proactive LV fault or degradation detection.
- Consumer Energy Resources (CER) impacts on LV networks, including voltage rise, transformer thermal limits, export limits and hosting capacity constraints.
- Deep understanding of the technical challenges posed by CER as well as working knowledge of the economic, environmental and social opportunities.
- Network reliability measures and the relationship between LV-tier performance indicators and feeder-level SAIDI/SAIFI reporting.
- Relevant processes including interfaces, dependencies and hand off points with network planning, forecasting and operational teams.
