Contractor Compliance Coordinator

Jemena is an Australian energy company who owns and operates over $11.5 Billion worth of gas and electricity transportation assets across Australia supplying millions of households and businesses with essential services every day.  

We have a new and exciting role within the compliance team and are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Contractor Compliance Coordinator. This role allows you to work flexibly with a mix of WFH and days in the office.

About the role:

  • Monitor, coordinate, record and report on compliance of competency requirements across the various contracts and client networks
  • Identify and review any areas of non-compliance detected through monitoring and auditing processes
  • Review and organise induction requests for all new contractor employees (Zinfra and Network Operators)
  • Coordinate the management, review and analysis of training data to ensure compliance and assurance responsibilities are met and are available for reporting, auditing and investigation purposes
  • Liaise with Network Operators regarding training compliance, authorities and other requirements
  • Work Authorisation System (WAS) support for internal employees and contracting companies
  • Assist with development of processes and reporting

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure the technical training compliance of contracts, including the training compliance of the subcontractors across Zinfra
  • Maintain compliance with evidence of competency and licensing requirements
  • Onboarding Contractors reviewing appropriate inductions and training
  • Conduct regular audits/inspections of contractor training compliance
  • Ensure training records are updated in timely and accurate manner using appropriate systems
  • Ensure training records management system are reviewed and updated to ensure accuracy of information

About you:

  • Technical or industry-related experience in the energy sector
  • Knowledge of VESI skills and training - desirable
  • High level of Customer Service experience
  • Strong administrative experience
  • Proven skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • High level of skill in analysing and interpreting statistical data relevant to compliance and assurance activities
  • Previous power industry work experience is an advantage
  • Strong organisational planning skills
