About the role
We’re excited to welcome a motivated and forward-thinking Control Room Technician to join our high-performing Gas Markets team. This pivotal role operates on a rotating shift roster: two days, two nights followed by six days off.

Key Responsibilities include
- Overseeing the operation of high-pressure natural gas pipelines, gas processing, facilities, SCADA systems, and supporting equipment
- Coordinating schedules for gas transportation contracts and maintain communication with producers, customers, and maintenance teams
- Responding effectively to alarm conditions and emergencies
- Investigating and reporting faults to ensure prompt, thorough resolutions
About You
You’re someone who thrives in a fast-moving, dynamic setting. You find energy and satisfaction in working in a 24/7 operational and emergency response environment, and you bring both calm focus and sharp thinking when it matters most. Ideally you’ll bring:
- A trade or tertiary qualification in Mechanical, E&I, or a Process-related discipline. Alternatively, 8+ years’ of hands-on experience in the hydrocarbon or heavy industry may be considered
- Experience with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)
- A growth mindset – you’re passionate about continuous improvement and always eager to learn
- A proactive approach, a collaborative spirit, and the confidence to adapt and lead through change
