Overview of our role

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in guiding and empowering a collaborative and high-performing delivery team, focused on creating meaningful value for our customers and Jemena. Based in our supportive Digital team, you’ll work closely with senior business stakeholders, product owners, and colleagues across the organisation to deliver complex and strategic initiatives that make a real impact.

You’ll bring people together to navigate and manage projects from start to finish—balancing priorities, supporting team capacity and capability, and ensuring a thoughtful approach to quality, compliance, and governance. Your ability to foster strong relationships, communicate clearly, and bring people along on the journey will be central to your success.

A little about you

  • Proven ability to lead and deliver medium to high complexity projects from initiation through to implementation, ensuring outcomes align with timeframes, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects at once, prioritising tasks based on business needs and collaborating with others to achieve shared goals.
  • Experienced in guiding and supporting diverse, cross-functional teams, encouraging inclusive ways of working to deliver outcomes effectively.
  • Confident in nurturing strong stakeholder relationships, including with senior leaders, through open communication, active listening, and shared decision-making.
  • Strong capability in budget management, financial tracking, and resource planning, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout project delivery.
  • Comfortable adapting and applying project delivery frameworks and tools, ensuring fit-for-purpose governance while meeting compliance and quality standards.
  • Collaborative and proactive in engaging suppliers and partners, developing clear scopes of work, and fostering productive, values-aligned partnerships.

Qualifications / certifications & Skills

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, or a related field—or equivalent industry experience—are valued.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple complex digital or IT projects, with a solid understanding of software development lifecycles and the broader digital landscape.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and uplift others, fostering inclusive team environments and encouraging professional growth.
  • A naturally collaborative communicator, with the ability to build trust, influence outcomes, and align stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
  • Brings a positive, solutions-focused mindset, helping to energise teams and maintain momentum during change or challenge.
  • Embraces continuous learning and adaptability, with a growth mindset and curiosity about emerging technologies and new ways of working.
  • Confident in navigating ambiguity and balancing multiple priorities, while delivering clear, engaging presentations and updates.
