About the role:

This business critical role sets the strategy for enterprise analytics as a business discipline and for using data as an asset to meet enterprise's goals. The role works with Digital and Business groups using data and analytics to derive value within and for the business through research, innovation and support services.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Developing, defining and driving the Enterprise strategy with regards to the application of analytics to use data as a strategic asset and support insights into business performance;

  • Delivering Enterprise Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence services across the business to support business decision making and regulatory reporting;
  • Engaging with cross functional teams/projects to provide leadership in the domains of data science (including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning);
  • Leading the design of data and analytical platforms and ensuring solutions are integrated into holistic digital solutions;
  • Overseeing a centralised service for sourcing external analysis to ensure quality, traceability, timeliness, usability and cost-effectiveness; and
  • Promoting analytical usage and skills throughout the company through communities of practice, training, collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensuring operational performance is met on existing platforms (BI/BW) to support business operational requirements.
  • Providing ongoing strategic and operational alignment of analytical initiatives across the company.
  • Developing processes and standards for data integration, engineering, modeling, and visualization.
  • Ensuring appropriate security and governance processes and practices are being implemented.
  • Setting up and leading data and analytics communities of practice to enhance engagement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across the business and Digital.
  • Developing, leveraging, and introducing new analytical techniques and approaches.
  • Working with the business and Digital Solution Managers, using advanced and complex analytical techniques such as MI, Deep learning, and Video/Image analytics to provide insight into business problems and data.
  • Developing external partnerships to deliver data science, research, and innovation opportunities to the business.

About you:

For your profile to be shortlisted you will need to highlight a tertiary qualification in statistics, data science or a related discipline along side extensive experience working in information intensive industries or digitally advanced enterprises.

Additionally please share details on your experience:

  • Working in multiple domain areas such as data warehousing, Business Intelligence, data science, data strategy
  • Managing medium sized teams in development and/operation environments
  • Engaging across a large enterprise and effectively communicating with senior stakeholders
