About the role

In this role, you will act as a key interface between Zinfra field crews and the Jemena Electricity Network Asset Management team to ensure safety concerns are effectively captured, prioritised and addressed. You will lead the investigation and implementation of new equipment, materials, and work practices that improve safety outcomes; support the integration of practical field insights into asset standards, designs, and risk assessments; and strengthen Jemena’s ability to proactively mitigate safety risks across the distribution network and zone substations.

This role will require you to spend approximately 50% of your time on site and 50% of your time in the office.

About You

To be successful in this, you will demonstrate solid industry experience ideally within electrical supply, and distribution network knowledge along with;

  • Experience operating in the electrical environment with strong safety focus
  • Developed strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with field and office-based workers
  • Experience in risk assessment & management techniques
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification (Electrical Engineer with Chartered Engineer accreditation desirable)
