About the role:

As a Senior Integration Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in shaping and nurturing the systems that keep our business running smoothly and securely—while making a meaningful impact every day.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and delivering thoughtful, resilient integration solutions that support our strategic goals and day-to-day operations.
• Collaborating across teams to build and maintain a robust integration platform—spanning cloud (AWS) and on-premises environments—ensuring compliance with energy sector regulations.
• Championing quality and security, using best practices in engineering, automation, and governance to ensure our systems are safe, scalable, and sustainable.
• Leading with care during critical incidents, acting as a trusted escalation point to restore services and support our teams.
• Driving continuous improvement, optimizing performance, cost-efficiency, and developer experience through innovation and self-service capabilities. 

What You Bring

• A strong foundation in modern integration technologies (APIs, events, data streaming) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with building and scaling API gateway and enterprise service bus systems.
• Expertise in the IBM webMethods Integration platform stack.
• A deep understanding of DevOps, microservices, and agile methodologies, with a passion for building systems that empower others.
• Experience with configuration as code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation, and a commitment to secure, compliant, and efficient operations.
• A track record of driving system and process improvement in your previous roles.
• A collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and a desire to mentor and uplift others.

Participation in an on-call 24x7 roster is required to support all integration platform components, underscoring the importance of the Integration Engineer in ensuring system security, availability and performance across Jemena’s diverse operational environments.
