About the role

We are seeking a self-driven and forward-thinking Control Room Technician to join our team on a fixed term basis for 18 months.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Managing high-pressure natural gas pipelines, facilities, SCADA systems, and ancillary equipment
  • Coordinate scheduling for gas transportation contracts and maintain communication with producers, customers, and maintenance teams
  • Responding to alarm conditions and emergencies promptly
  • Investigating and reporting fault conditions, ensuring swift resolution

About You

We're seeking candidates who've thrived in a similar role, someone who will enjoy the Control Room's dynamic pace, challenges, and gratification that only a 24/7 operational and emergency response setting offers. Ideally you will have:

  • Trade or tertiary qualification in Mechanical, E&I, OR Process related discipline; 8+ years’ hydrocarbon or heavy industry experience without qualification may be considered
  • Demonstrated working with Distribution Management Systems
  • Experience in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)
  • Familiarity of using Outage Management Systems (OMS)
  • Previous experience in creating user-friendly dashboards for diverse internal stakeholders
  • Ability to develop meaningful and easily understandable dashboards
