As a Key Accounts Manager, you’ll be the trusted commercial partner for some of Jemena’s most important customers and stakeholders. You’ll sit at the intersection of strategy, delivery and innovation — influencing outcomes, solving complex problems, and helping our customers navigate change with confidence.

You’ll work closely with developers, government bodies, utilities, transport and telecommunications partners, while collaborating internally with Legal, Regulation, Asset Management and Project teams to deliver smart, future-focused solutions.

This role suits someone who is commercially astute, relationship-led, and comfortable owning outcomes end-to-end.

Day to day include:

Build and lead key relationships

  • Act as the primary commercial interface for developers, government bodies, water authorities and major customers
  • Strengthen long-term partnerships through thoughtful engagement, forums, events and ongoing communication
  • Resolve issues proactively, balancing customer needs with Jemena’s commercial and regulatory obligations
  • Use customer insights, data and analytics to create value-adding outcomes
  • Support relationships with regulators and industry bodies

Own contracts and commercial outcomes

  • Lead contract negotiations, administration and performance management
  • Work closely with Legal and internal stakeholders to develop fit-for-purpose agreements
  • Identify opportunities to optimise value while managing risk
  • Provide commercial guidance across the Electricity Distribution team
  • Forecast, invoice and grow unregulated revenue streams
  • Bring structure, discipline and clarity to contract management practices

Drive complex customer projects

  • Manage customer-initiated projects from first conversation through to delivery
  • Coordinate technical, financial and delivery inputs across Jemena
  • Apply pricing strategies and commercial risk frameworks with confidence
  • Ensure projects meet regulatory, safety and commercial requirements
  • Support long-term growth aligned with Jemena’s 10-year strategy

Create value-add solutions

  • Identify and develop innovative, customer-centric products and services
  • Partner with customers and internal teams to deliver continuous improvement
  • Champion smarter ways of working that respond to evolving customer needs

 

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience in key account management, stakeholder engagement or commercial roles
  • Strong contract management and negotiation skills
  • Comfort working with complex projects, emerging technologies or regulated environments
  • Ability to influence, collaborate and communicate with impact
  • A thoughtful, structured approach to risk and decision-making
  • Qualifications in a commercial or technical discipline, with utilities or energy sector experience highly regarded
