About the role

We have a superb opportunity for an experienced Payroll Adviser to join our Payroll team. Ideally based in Melbourne. This role is instrumental in providing payroll transactional services and operational support to all entities across the Jemena Business. Delivering accurate payroll process, payments and records to the business and employees within agreed timelines is critical in this role.

Key responsibilities include

  • Update and maintain leave: data entry of timesheets and leave reconciliations completed accurately and on time
  • Accurately perform payroll checking for data entry to eliminate overpayments and/or incorrect payments to third parties
  • Process employee separation payments 100% accurate and in line with employees EBA and legislation requirements
  • Assisting Payroll Team Leader with month end reconciliations

About You

The successful candidate will likely come from a similar role, supporting Payroll across a diverse employee group including; EBA, Award and Common Law. You maintain a high level of customer service and provide consistent, timely and accurate delivery of payroll services to employees through daily operational activities. Payroll runs are, weekly, fortnightly and monthly.

Experience with PayGlobal is a distinct advantage, but absolutely not critical.

You showcase the confidence, capability and prioritising skills to navigate competing demands of the various business groups. You thrive in fast paced change and deal with ambiguity, effectively managing the often changing priorities. You are able to thrive working individually and as part of a team. Finally, you couple a 'can do' attitude with a positive, friendly demeanour. These traits will ensure success in this crucial role.
