Overview of our role

Play a key role in designing, building and optimising Jemena’s integration platform, helping connect critical systems and deliver technology that supports strategic business outcomes.

You’ll work across AWS cloud and on-premise environments, developing secure, reliable and cost-effective integration solutions while improving developer experience and enabling greater self-service.

As a senior technical point of escalation, you’ll help maintain platform reliability, performance and security, while leading and contributing to project delivery and ongoing platform improvements.

You’ll also participate in a 24/7 on-call roster, helping ensure Jemena’s integration services remain secure, available and performing at their best across diverse operational environments.

What You'll Bring

• Extensive experience designing, building and operating integration solutions across APIs, file transfer, events and data streaming.
• Strong experience building reliable, scalable integration platforms across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Strong quality engineering practices, including code reviews, version control, automated testing and deployment.
• Experience providing technical governance and ensuring integration solutions meet engineering, security and compliance standards.
• Proven ability to optimise platform performance, availability, resilience and cost efficiency, including disaster recovery and high availability.
• Strategic mindset with experience shaping technical roadmaps, scalable architectures, engineering standards and emerging technology adoption.

Qualifications / Certifications & Experience

• Expert-level experience with Software AG webMethods (Integration Server, API Gateway, Trading Networks, Universal Messaging).
• Mid-level experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration/CPI, API Management, Event Mesh and hybrid integration patterns).
• Strong software engineering expertise across the full integration lifecycle and enterprise integration architecture.
• Experience with API-led connectivity, microservices, event-driven architectures and B2B/EDI integrations.
• Deep knowledge of AWS, networking, security, Kubernetes, Docker and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform and CloudFormation.
