We’re looking for an experienced and thoughtful Fleet & Plant Manager to join our collaborative leadership team. In this role, you’ll partner closely with our Group Manager: Procurement & Fleet Governance to shape and deliver a safe, high‑performing Fleet & Plant function that supports our people and communities across the Group.
This is a hands‑on leadership role where your insight, care and commercial mindset will help guide strategy, strengthen operations, and unlock smarter ways of working. You’ll bring clarity to fleet and plant performance, identifying opportunities, managing risk, and adding real value at an enterprise level.
- Lead the development and delivery of our Fleet & Plant strategy, balancing safety, performance and financial outcomes
- Oversee responsive and compliant fleet and plant operations, including maintenance, safety and risk management
- Build strong, trusted partnerships with suppliers through effective contract and commercial management
- Drive continuous improvement through clear targets, KPIs and meaningful reporting
- Manage budgets, forecasts and business cases with confidence and transparency
- Provide sound advice on fleet composition, procurement and replacement
- Engage openly with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service and capability
- Champion innovation and practical solutions that work across diverse and remote environments

- Deep senior leadership experience across complex fleet, plant or corporate services
- Confident overseeing operations, risk, service agreements and contractor performance
- Trusted in managing large‑scale outsourced fleet arrangements
- Strong commercial and contract management capability
- Curious and courageous in improving and embedding better ways of working
- A supportive leader who coaches teams and builds strong stakeholder relationships
Qualifications / certifications & Skills
- Relevant qualifications in business, commercial, asset or fleet and plant disciplines
- Strong understanding of fleet and plant principles, standards and obligations
- Confident with financial, accounting and commercial decision‑making
- Clear grasp of legal, technical and risk considerations
- Comfortable leading change with a thoughtful, people‑centred approach
- Tech‑savvy, with a natural strength in service, negotiation and collaboration
