About the role
As the IT Infrastructure Operations Engineer, you will be pivotal in ensuring the effective operation, reliability, and continuous availability of Jemena’s IT infrastructure across hybrid platforms and data centres. Your role will be specifically focused on the operational aspects of IT infrastructure, which includes proactive management, monitoring, incident resolution, and maintaining compliance with SLAs to support Jemena's critical services.
As your role is operationally focused on the availability of systems, participation in an on-call 24x7 roster will be required to support some or all platform components, reflecting the critical nature of maintaining high system availability and performance across Jemena’s IT operations.
About You
To be successful in this, you will demonstrate extensive experience in the day-to-day management of IT platforms, including proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization across hybrid environments, along with;
- Proven track record in managing incidents and problems effectively under ITIL frameworks.
- Experience in rapid response to outages and performance issues, minimizing downtime and mitigating impacts on business operations.
- Solid understanding of hybrid IT infrastructure components including cloud services (AWS, Azure) and on-premises systems.
- Knowledge of how to effectively integrate and manage these environments to support seamless business operations.
