Overview of our role

The Network Governance, Risk & Assurance Lead drives a clear and integrated approach to governance, compliance, risk and assurance at Jemena Electricity Networks. This role leads the Asset Management System (ISO 55001 aligned), strengthens technical compliance and maintains trusted regulator relationships—ensuring decisions are data-led, transparent and well assured.

Leading a multidisciplinary team, the role brings together compliance, safety, bushfire mitigation, line clearance and asset governance to meet obligations, strengthen controls and deliver continuous improvement.

A key connector across engineering, planning and investment, the team translates risk and standards into smart, value-driven programs. It also manages regulatory engagement, customer and REC enquiries, and leads procedural compliance and Field Technical Change across the network.

 A little about you

  • Managing regulatory compliance, accreditation and assurance in electricity networks
  • Experience within the Electricity Supply Industry
  • Leading ISO 55001 asset management systems and governance frameworks
  • Leading multidisciplinary risk, safety and engineering teams
  • Developing risk-based portfolios and business case artefacts
  • Strong knowledge of asset management systems, compliance processes, and incident management

Qualifications / certifications & Skills

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering with Chartered Engineer status (Engineers Australia)
  • Strong business acumen and systems thinking
  • Deep understanding of asset management systems and project management methodologies
  • Experience in portfolio and program management
  • Technical compliance expertise, including relevant Australian Standards
  • Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks (e.g. AFAP, ALARP, Bowtie)
