The Role

And now, we are looking for an Area Manager to oversee six of our VIC stores. As the Area Manager, you will work in conjunction with the State Manager, to drive performance, store operations, recruitment and build strong teams. 

The Area Manager also plays a major part in supporting the expansion and growth of JD Sports and will work in collaboration with the State Manager to successfully open new stores.

As the Cluster Manager, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Manage all key financial KPI’s to deliver growth v budget  
  • Recruit, induct and train management, building bench strength for future expansion  
  • Lead and coach teams to deliver consistency across all operational disciplines 
  • Uphold company retail standards and assist in commercial decision making 
  • Coach teams to manage team development & poor performance  
  • Manage store customer experience standards  
  • Visit all stores on regular rotation to develop team and identify priorities 
  • Utilise company reporting to evaluate store performance and identify commercial opportunities to deliver growth  
  • Coach stores to improve KPI performance in line with company average 

 

Who You Are  

  • 3-5 years in a Cluster or Area Manager role 
  • Proven track record of managing large teams 
  • Intermediate excel, word and PowerPoint skills
