THE ROLE
The Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving JD Sports’ strategic retail evolution, working at the heart of projects that shape how we operate, grow, and deliver for our customers. From store operations and merchandise to supply chain, HR, finance, and digital – no two days look the same.
As a trusted partner to cross-functional teams, you’ll translate business needs into clear, actionable insights. You’ll map out current and future state processes, assess change impacts, and ensure each solution aligns with our goals. Whether you’re running workshops, supporting system enhancements, or testing new features, your work will unlock smarter, more connected ways of working across JD.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves solving complex problems, and is passionate about turning strategy into real-world results.
Reporting into the Strategy Delivery Manager, this role is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements for various JD Sports Strategic projects
- Conduct workshops and interviews to elicit detailed information regarding project objectives and deliverables
- Identify common issues as problems and deliver solutions that will address root cause
- Document requirements, test cases and user documents
- Support project managers in developing project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and recommend mitigation strategies
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure project deliverables meet business requirements
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Technology, Finance, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau)
- Exposure to enterprise retail systems (e.g. Ecommerce, POS, ERP)
