What You’ll Be Doing

Solution Architecture

• Define current and target data architectures across operational and analytical platforms
• Translate business needs into clear, scalable technical designs
• Establish architecture standards, patterns, and robust data quality controls
• Enable seamless integration across APIs, cloud platforms, and data systems
• Design modern, cloud-native solutions using microservices and orchestration
• Build data platforms that support AI/ML and advanced analytics

 IT Strategy & Planning

• Support and evolve the enterprise cloud data platform
• Contribute to architecture roadmaps and technology selection
• Ensure solutions align with standards and drive simplification
• Define target states, migration paths, and support AI adoption strategy

Governance & Architecture

• Apply best-practice design patterns and shape architectural direction
• Enforce governance across security, privacy, and metadata
• Maintain standards, policies, and advocate for enterprise architecture principles
• Promote responsible, governed use of AI and data 

Collaboration & Delivery

• Guide teams to deliver scalable, flexible solutions
• Solve complex technical challenges with practical approaches
• Partner across teams to drive data- and AI-driven outcomes
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement

Risk & Compliance

• Identify and manage operational and technology risks
• Support governance frameworks and controls
• Ensure solutions meet security, audit, and ethical AI standards

What Sets You Apart

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in an IT-related field
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate (or similar cloud certification) highly regarded
• Architecture certification (e.g., TOGAF) a plus

Experience

• 7+ years in IT, including 2+ years as a Data Architect
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams
• Sharp analytical mindset, translating complex business needs into clear technical solutions
• Advanced SQL, Python, and Spark expertise (highly desirable)
• Proven experience in both dimensional and 3NF data modelling
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms and tools, including:
• Databricks, AWS (S3, DMS, RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift), Power BI, Tableau, IBM Cognos, IBM TM1
• Experience designing scalable, cloud-native data architectures
• Practical exposure to AI and machine learning, enabling advanced analytics, feature engineering, and data-driven insights
• Background in comparator, digital marketing, insurance, or financial services (desirable)
