The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Lead Software Engineer who’s just as comfortable in the code as they are shaping the big-picture tech strategy. You’ll help design and build secure, resilient systems, guide your team toward smart solutions, and keep the quality bar high.

From picking the right tools and influencing tech stack decisions to refining design patterns, you’ll influence how things get done, and make sure it’s done well. You’ll also play a big role in helping your team grow their skills while pushing for better, smarter ways to work.

You’ll be right at the heart of our digital transformation — helping to design and build the next wave of products and platforms that take us into the future.

Here’s what you’ll be owning:

  • Software Development and Leadership: Designs and delivers scalable, secure digital products, sets best practices for architecture, coding, testing, and documentation, reviews team code, and drives continuous improvement. Leads by example to inspire innovation.
  • Technical Strategy and Innovation: Guides technology stack and architectural decisions, leads Agile ceremonies, promotes modern technologies, and drives DevSecOps adoption with a focus on automation and security.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Builds strong relationships across teams, communicates complex technical concepts clearly, and ensures alignment for collaborative decision-making.
  • Continuous Learning and Mentorship: Stays updated on industry trends, mentors engineers, and fosters knowledge sharing and professional growth.

  • Income protection insurance provided to support you in the event of non-work-related illness or injury

About you

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience in full-stack environments.
  • Strong expertise in JavaScript (React) and/or Java or C#, and Node.js.
  • Extensive experience with AWS cloud technologies, serverless and event-driven architectures.
  • Proficient in modern CI/CD practices, observability, and end-to-end software development.
