What You’ll Be Doing
The Security Architect designs and governs secure‑by‑design architectures, aligning security strategy with business objectives, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements across cloud, infrastructure, applications, data, and identity.
- Define and maintain enterprise security architecture principles, patterns, standards, and reference architectures
- Lead security design for new platforms, services, and major initiatives
- Conduct security architecture reviews, threat modelling, and risk assessments
- Ensure alignment to Zero Trust, defence‑in‑depth, and least‑privilege principles
- Define SOC strategy, operating model, service design, policies, SOPs, playbooks, and reporting
- Act as a trusted security advisor to architects and engineering teams
- Embed security‑by‑design and DevSecOps practices across delivery
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and innovation including AI/ML adoption

What Sets You Apart
- 10+ years’ in cybersecurity with architecture or senior engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of cloud, IAM, application, data, and infrastructure security knowledge across modern enterprise environments.
- Experience applying security frameworks (e.g. NIST, SABSA, TOGAF).
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Has defined and embedded organisation‑wide security architecture standards across delivery teams and platforms, ensuring consistent adoption aligned to risk appetite, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
- Has driven the early integration of security into solution design, resulting in a demonstrable reduction in late‑stage security issues, architectural rework, and delivery risk.
- Experience providing trusted, pragmatic security advice to senior technical and business stakeholders, evidenced by positive stakeholder feedback and effective enablement of delivery outcomes.
- Has led and evidenced measurable improvements in organisational security maturity through architectural governance, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
