What You'll Do

The primary purpose of this role is to assist the CTM Legal, Risk, and Compliance team in developing and managing a comprehensive Risk Management Framework that enhances the organisation’s business capabilities. This includes providing advisory support, conducting oversight and assurance activities, and delivering insightful risk reporting. Additionally, this role collaborates with peers to ensure the effective implementation of second line assurance activities, including defining scope and conducting assurance assessments.

The role requires engagement across all business verticals to foster a positive risk culture and achieve high-performance outcomes within an evolving Three Lines of Defence structure.

As an integral member of the Legal, Risk, and Compliance team, you will bring your expertise in building risk capabilities within a growing organisation. You will assist with framework delivery, utilising your skills in influence and collaboration to make a significant and positive impact on our employees, partners, and customers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in supporting activities to develop, maintain, and enhance the Risk Management Framework, encompassing risk and control self-assessment, control evaluation, assurance activities, operational risk incident management, scenario analysis, reporting, and other related areas.
  • Assist with the development, delivery, and enhancement of risk practices, frameworks, standards, and policies that support the Risk Management Framework.
  • Provide effective advisory support on risk management matters.
  • Deliver risk oversight and assurance activities across the first line of defence.
  • Guiding and supporting business owners in the completion of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment and subsequent control testing.
  • Assist with the integration of Group Risk strategies and structures into the company, managing stakeholder requirements and timelines.
  • Prepare and deliver risk education and awareness programs to embed a risk-conscious culture throughout the organisation.

 About You

We're looking for someone proactive - someone who loves the chase and wants to make a real impact! You'll also have:

  • A few years' of relevant / proven experience in a risk-related role with a regulator, financial institution, or similar entity.
  • Knowledge of APRA prudential standards.
  • Experience and knowledge of risk management methods and frameworks.
  • Ability to build partnerships by collaborating and interacting both professionally and effectively, influencing outcomes.
  • Continuous improvement mindset that simplifies complexity while adhering to standards and business requirements.
  • Ability to deliver in a faced paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
