The Opportunity:

Are you ready to elevate your career to the next level? We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead teams responsible for improving and maintaining various technology systems and applications. You will oversee prioritised technology projects and initiatives, ensuring they align with and support the organisation’s strategic goals.

• Collaborate with IT leaders to develop resource plans and objectives aligned with the 3-year strategic plan and annual IT/business goals.
• Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing Software Engineers and Test Engineers, fostering team culture and providing mentorship.
• Oversee Delivery Leads and Team Leads to ensure strategic alignment, efficient resource management, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Define and enforce software engineering/testing standards, practices, and processes to enhance productivity and team performance.
• Identify and manage risks within the Software Engineering function, collaborating with IT Security and Risk teams to implement controls.
• Establish KPIs to measure team effectiveness, and stay updated on industry trends to drive innovation and adopt new technologies.

About you:

• Proven experience in managing and delivering complex software engineering and testing projects.
• Success in hiring, retaining, and developing high-performance teams of 10+ Software Engineers and Test Analysts.
• Success in hiring, retaining, and developing high-performance teams of 10+ Software Engineers and Test Analysts.
• Expertise in software engineering and testing standards, methodologies, tools, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure DevOps.
• Strong leadership skills in maintaining, enhancing, and delivering technical solutions.
• Proficiency in risk identification and mitigation within software engineering.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills to align business objectives with actionable plans.
