About The Opportunity: 

The HR Advisor plays a key role in the People & Culture team, delivering practical, high-quality support across a broad range of HR functions. This role ensures HR policies and practices are compliant, efficient, and user-friendly, while also managing accurate HR reporting and employee relations matters. As a trusted first point of contact for HR queries, the HR Advisor partners with employees and leaders to provide timely advice, support a positive employee experience, and drive continuous improvement. The role also contributes to strategic initiatives across culture, engagement, and change.

  • Review, update, and streamline HR policies and procedures to ensure legislative compliance, clarity, and usability.
  • Monitor key HR metrics (e.g. turnover, absenteeism, diversity) to identify trends and provide insights for improvement.
  • Support leaders with employee relations matters including performance management, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Collaborate on and lead key HR projects, including engagement, culture, and diversity & inclusion initiatives.
  • Administer user access and data accuracy within HR platforms, including Reward and Recognition systems.
  • Act as a trusted first point of contact for HR queries, providing clear, timely advice to employees and managers.
  • Deliver timely, tailored HR reports to support decision-making and business needs.
  • Support change management efforts through communication planning and stakeholder engagement.

 About you:

You’ll be a confident HR generalist with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for improving people practices. To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of generalist HR experience across the employee lifecycle, including HR systems, recruitment, reporting, and L&D
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS platforms and reporting tools
  • Experience delivering HR projects, such as policy updates, process improvements, or system rollouts
  • A solid understanding of employment law; experience with the Banking, Finance and Insurance Award 2020 is a bonus
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality when handling sensitive HR information
