What you do:

As a DevOps Engineer at iSelect, you will be a key contributor to the operations and engineering teams, providing technical expertise to ensure the highest quality and fit-for-purpose for our platforms. You will be responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure in line with the technology strategy and product roadmaps. This includes making collaborative decisions on cloud services, automation tools, and overall technical strategy for your domain.

You will be a practitioner level engineer in your respective domain and have the technical ability to observe/analyse DevOps practices and drive the practice maturity and capability uplift. This is a technical role, so you’re expected to spend a percentage of your time ‘on the tools’ managing systems and writing scripts.

This role is suitable for a DevOps practitioner with solid commercial experience, aspiring to be a key player in the company-wide digital transformation, designing and building the next iteration of digital products and platforms.

What you need:

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in software development and system administration.
  • Experience with databases, networking, data centres, and information systems.
  • Understanding of at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, Ruby, C++, etc.
  • Knowledge of various operating systems and platforms.
  • Broad experience with AWS or other cloud services and solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
