iSelect is at an exciting point in its journey and we’re looking for a talented and passionate Digital Writer to join the Digital Marketing division to support iSelect’s customer focused growth agenda. 

What you’ll do:

An experienced and talented writer, you have a passion for bringing complex topics to life in a way that resonates with online audiences. In this role you will be responsible for sourcing, writing and editing well-crafted and engaging content for publication on iSelect’s website, with a strong focus on insurance. 

Your strong attention to detail and proven research and fact-checking skills will enable you to deliver a large volume of high-quality and accurate digital content that effortlessly incorporates SEO best practices and addresses user intent.

You will accept insurance content briefs and deliver original, engaging pieces tailored to diverse audience segments while adhering to iSelect's style and tone guidelines, including appropriate use of humor.

To succeed in this role, you must be able to work on multiple articles and topics simultaneously with the ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines. Inquisitive and interested, you will keep across industry and regulatory developments and further hone your insurance subject matter expertise. You’ll also be comfortable using data to make content decisions and to optimise your content

What you need:

  • Exceptional writing, editing and oral communication skills
  • At least 5 years professional writing experience, ideally including experience writing within the insurance sectors along with ghostwriting
  • Ability to understand complex industry concepts and jargon and translate them into engaging and plain English content
  • Knowledge of SEO best practice and how content addresses user intent, as well as experience of using keyword research
  • Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) analytics platforms, such as Adobe or Google Analytics
  • Experience working with a CMS (WordPress is preferable)
  • Sound research and fact-checking skills, along with impeccable referencing/sourcing
  • Strong computer skills across Microsoft suite (Word, PowerPoint & Excel) with a proficiency in Google Docs, Trello and Confluence desirable. 

A bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or similar will be highly regarded.
