The Opportunity:

We're looking for a strategic thinker and hands-on expert to help us design and deliver a modern, scalable, and secure data architecture across Compare the Market and iSelect. In this pivotal role, you'll drive data excellence, improve business outcomes, and contribute to building a trusted data ecosystem.

How you fit:

  • Designing end-to-end data architecture that supports our current needs and future growth
  • Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all systems and designs
  • Leading the design of robust data integration solutions across platforms and services
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams – including analysts, modellers, engineers, and scientists – to enable smart, data-driven decisions
  • Implementing security and privacy best practices to protect our data assets
  • Developing and maintaining clear data architecture standards, patterns, and documentation
  • Supporting the implementation of data governance frameworks and policies
  • Ensuring alignment with organisational standards and compliance requirements
  • Helping to identify and assess operational, financial, and reputational risks tied to data
  • Contributing to a resilient risk management framework through sound policies and controls

What you need:

  •  7+ years of experience in Information Technology, with 2 years of minimum experience as a Data Architect
  • First class interpersonal skills with ability to build consensus
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience with digital application development for both online customers and internal business users
  • Experience in distilling complex business needs and technical change into clear direction.
  • Knowledge and experience with dimensional modelling / star schemas and 3rd normal form modelling is highly desirable
  • Knowledge and experience with one or more of the following platforms: Databricks, Kafka, SQL Server, IBM Data Stage, AWS S3, AWS DMS, AWS RDS, AWS DynamoDB, AWS Redshift, Azkabahn, Microsoft Power BI, Salesforce Tableau, IBM Cognos, IBM TM1 is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of machine learning and AI is desirable
  • Comparator, Insurance, financial services knowledge is desirable
