What you do:

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be leading our security engineering practice, providing thought leadership and technical guidance to ensure our platforms are built and operated in a secure way. You will be accountable for implementing solutions that embed security into how we build products and technology. This includes making collaborative decisions on security controls, design patterns and overall technical strategy.

You will have a background in DevSecOps, application security and cloud security engineering and have the technical ability to observe/analyze security engineering/development practices and drive practice maturity and capability uplift. This is a technical role so you will be expected to spend a percentage of your time ‘on the tools’ evaluating security activity or configuring security systems.

This role is suitable for a security engineer with solid experience in DevSecOps and AWS cloud security, aspiring to grow into a technical leadership position and be a key player in the company-wide digital transformation, designing and building next iteration of digital products and platforms.

What you need:

  • Solid experience in implementing DevSecOps within organisations
  • Practical experience in implementing and operating AWS Cloud Security technologies
  • Expert understanding of security good practices including those related to OWASP Top10, MITRE Attack framework, API and application security.
  • Experience in using Cloud Security Posture Management tools
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbally
  • Experience working in an enterprise IT environment
  • Understanding of penetration testing security assurance activity
  • Have an understanding of general security concepts, domains and good practices
  • Experience with Apache Kafka and NiFi data pipelines - desirable
  • Understanding of API, Node.JS or Java software development - desirable
