What you do:

As a Compliance Business Partner at iSelect, you'll play a pivotal role in leading stakeholder engagement efforts. You'll strategically partner with the business, providing advice that not only aligns with commercial objectives but also ensures compliance in every decision made. In addition to managing various aspects of the compliance framework, such as staying updated with legislative changes, reviewing policies, and developing compliance controls, you'll also analyse compliance and complaints trends. Your expertise will be crucial in advising stakeholders on legislative changes and supporting staff in building compliance awareness. Furthermore, you'll oversee monitoring and surveillance programs, develop risk reporting, and ensure adherence to licensing conditions and relevant legislation. Collaborating with other Compliance Business Partners, you'll ensure that vertical considerations are integrated into organizational frameworks and implementations.

What you need:

The successful candidate for this role will need to come from a background in General Insurance (financial services, banking, insurance, or superannuation) along with a strong understanding of licensing requirements. You'll be expected to lead stakeholder engagement efforts, strategically partnering with the business to provide advice that aligns with commercial objectives while ensuring compliance in decisions made. Experience in delivering expert advice within a risk and compliance function is crucial. You should possess an excellent understanding of governance, risk, and compliance systems as well as deep knowledge of risk and reputational principles. A high level of regulatory knowledge is necessary, along with demonstrated proficiency in interpreting and applying regulatory standards. A certification in risk, compliance, or a similar diploma level qualification is required, a degree in business or law would be highly regarded.
