Assistant Venue Manager

This role is based in Mount Isa, QLD, offering a very strong remuneration package including accommodation.

The Isa & Red Earth Hotels are on the lookout for a senior and experienced hospitality Manager to join our thriving, multi-outlet venues as an Assistant Venue Manager. This is an exceptional opportunity to take on a vital leadership position, working in close collaboration with our General Manager to shape the guest experience and contribute meaningfully to one of Queensland’s most exciting hospitality destinations.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the development and delivery of new and exciting entertainment and guest experience initiatives to drive business growth.
• Actively engaging with the local community to strengthen relationships and build our venue’s presence.
• Coordinating and overseeing entertainment schedules.
• Support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of service in our bar, restaurant, and accommodation.
• Inspire, mentor and develop your team, driving a positive and productive culture focused on excellence, customer service, and continuous improvement.
• Maintaining strict stock control and effective staff rostering, while identifying training needs to improve business operations.
• Monitoring and managing labour costs during shifts to ensure alignment with budgets and KPI’s.

What We’re Looking For:

• A proven leader with previous experience in hospitality management.
• A solid understanding of hospitality regulations, financial management, and best practices.
• Current QLD RSA, RSG, RMLV, Approved Managers License & CLO (or ability to obtain).
• A positive attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, close-knit team environment.
• A passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle problems on the spot.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
