We have an exciting opportunity to join Investa as our new Building Technology Manager.  This dynamic role is responsible for supporting the implementation of Investa’s Buildings Technology Strategy with the aim of optimising the security, operation, experience and data management within Investa assets, to maximise asset value, enhance our service offering and maintain a market leadership position. This role will accelerate Investa’s strategy and leadership in digital innovation for both new and existing commercial office buildings and help future proof Investa’s portfolio into the future.
The Building Technology Manager is a key member of a small team, and will be an experienced, capable professional who is able to spearhead Investa’s cutting-edge building technology strategy with the business stakeholders, prioritise and manage diverse projects, and who is passionate about change.
As part of the building technology team, the successful candidate will work closely with serval departments where you will respond to new opportunities, and to guide the implementation of platform initiatives.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Implementation Program: Owning the overall timeline, project costs and schedule of key strategy elements, specifically cyber resilience and asset connectivity. Running weekly meetings, tracking & surfacing key metrics and providing status updates. Communicate with the business on news, achievements and milestones.
  • Project Management: For each project, work with the team to set project criteria and produce detailed project plans with timelines, resources, approvals, risks and budget. Assist in developing business cases. Maintain plans ongoingly regarding time frames.
  • Communicating: Provide regular status updates and communications to the team, the broader business and the Executive Committee where appropriate.
  • Administrative & Project Support: Coordinating project meetings and telephone conferences as requested, arranging travel where applicable and producing minutes and action logs for each meeting. Preparing presentations, maintaining document templates and issuing agendas.

What you will need to be successful: 

  • Project Management experience
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills 
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering cyber security programs and training delivery
  • Working knowledge of cyber security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001
  • Thorough understanding of industry standard systems and software (BMCS, EMS, Access Control)
  • Proven experience working within a commercial property organisation
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of emerging technology solutions within commercial office building
  • Experience working within IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology) teams
