We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Facilities Manager to join our team. This role works closely with the General Manager, Safety & Facilities, to drive compliance, safety, quality, and culture across our national portfolio. You will play a key role in implementing strategic initiatives, managing resources, and ensuring operational excellence in facilities management. This is a 12-month contract position.

 

Your key responsibilities: 

  • Implement and manage a national operating platform for Facilities Services
  • Facilitate monthly compliance checkpoint meetings
  • Communicate systems and processes to Asset Managers, General Managers, Senior Facilities Managers, and Facilities Managers to ensure compliance
  • Assist in implementing processes to manage the performance of national multi-site OPEX vendors
  • Act as a mentor and coach for Asset Management Teams, sharing skills and knowledge to build business capability
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate aligned communication between Facilities Services and other business units, including Asset Management, Projects, Sustainability, WHS&E, Research, and Marketing
  • Implement actions and initiatives to reduce risk and maximize opportunities across portfolio assets
  • Support business unit reporting to align with executed service agreements
  • Promote and comply with WHS&E policies and procedures
  • Support implementation of sustainability policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the Sustainability team to engage business units in compliance with risk management practices

 

What you bring: 

  • Tertiary qualification in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years’ experience in facilities and operational management within the commercial property sector
  • Proven ability to manage and influence diverse stakeholders
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Thorough knowledge of compliance, risk management, and sustainability practices in commercial property
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
