Due to growth, we're seeking a Commercial Analyst to support the New Business & Origination team.  As our new Commercial Analyst, you’ll partner with the Senior Development Commercial Manager and team to provide high quality and timely financial and strategic analysis to support the New Business team with new investment venture strategies, asset opportunities and reporting support.  This role is an integral part of the New Business & Origination team and will collaborate with the wider team of Capital Transactions, Development, Fund Managers, Asset Managers, Analysts, and the wider business.  To be successful in this position you’ll have a strong background in the Property industry or investment banking as an Analyst.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop financial models to support investment strategies & opportunities.
  • Support the preparation of feasibility studies, highest and best use analysis, and new business proposals.
  • Ownership and maintenance of models and analysis.
  • Undertake scenario and sensitivity analysis to support decision making.
  • Manage a quality assurance process for feasibility studies and reporting.
  • Preparation and presentation of analysis and strategic considerations.
  • Creating pitch deck.
  • Create and compile pitch deck to assist presentations with prospective capital partners.
  • Create and compile presentations for internal meetings.
  • Assist with undertaking research for new sectors being explored, including competitor analysis.
  • Maintain a transaction analysis database.
  • General administrative tasks including but not limited to: processing NDAs, drafting letters of offer etc.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement to the systems and initiatives of the new business team.
  • Other ad-hoc duties.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Property Economic, Finance or related discipline.
  • At least 3-5+ years post-tertiary work experience in the Property industry or investment banking as an Analyst.
  • Experience building, using and/or reviewing financial models.

  • Highly numerate and skilled in financial modelling and analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Strong research and analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Property experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously and as part of a team.
