The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to join our team and play a key role in shaping our sourcing strategy across critical categories. In this role, you will oversee the purchasing of goods and services for critical items required by our construction project delivery teams. With your proven expertise, you will shape and continuously enhance category strategies, influencing key business decisions. Your strength lies in cultivating strategic supplier partnerships, leading complex contract negotiations, and overseeing supplier performance to ensure excellence and reliability. You will work closely with stakeholders to anticipate project demands, guide inventory and logistics planning, and leverage market intelligence to make strategic procurement decisions. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this role is based out of our head office in Girraween (Western Sydney).

You will bring:

  • 5-10 years’ experience in a procurement or category management role, ideally within construction or related industries
  • Proven track record in establishing and maintaining supplier relationships and leading complex contract negotiations
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence, engage, and resolve conflict effectively
  • Strong systems capability – experience with procurement and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align procurement goals with business objectives
  • A hands-on, proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in procurement, supply chain management, business, or a related field
