The Opportunity

We’re looking for a people-focused Community Relations Coordinator who enjoys connecting with others and making a positive difference in the community. In this role, you’ll be the key link between our construction projects and the people they impact, helping to keep residents, businesses, and stakeholders informed, engaged, and supported. You’ll play a hands-on part in minimising disruption, building trust, and ensuring our projects run smoothly. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Building positive relationships with residents, businesses, and stakeholders by listening and responding to their concerns
  • Preparing and sharing project updates through letters, newsletters, and other communication materials
  • Attending and contributing to community and stakeholder meetings as the face of our projects
  • Keeping accurate records of community contacts and feedback in project databases
  • Supporting Project Managers with day-to-day customer and stakeholder communications
  • Getting out into the community through site visits, door-knocking, and proactive engagement
  • Helping deliver community relations plans and ensuring project commitments are met

You’ll Bring:

  • Experience in a customer facing, community relations or similar administrative role within the construction industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work independently
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • High interpersonal skills – you enjoy engaging with people, are a good listener, and show empathy for others’ needs and concerns

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Communications, Community Relations, Social Science is desirable but not essential
