Step into a hands-on leadership role at our Edmonton Gardens care home in Cairns, where you’ll take ownership of the day‑to‑day maintenance operations that keep our home safe, functional and welcoming for residents and staff. Edmonton Gardens Aged Care & Nursing Home | Infinite Care
What You’ll Do
- Lead the maintenance function for the home, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Carry out preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance
- Ensure compliance with WHS, fire safety and aged care standards
- Maintain essential assets including HVAC, fire systems, mobility aids and building infrastructure
- Coordinate contractors and ensure high-quality, safe work
- Keep accurate maintenance records and support audit readiness
- Provide friendly, professional service to residents and staff
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in maintenance/facilities roles (leadership experience ideal)
- Strong communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of maintenance operations
- Understanding of WHS, building services and safe work practices
- NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
- Trade qualification or testing/tagging certification desirable
