We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Dietitian to guide best practice nutrition and food service delivery across all our homes. This is a full-time, hybrid role, with the flexibility to be based at any of our locations across Australia. You’ll work Monday to Friday as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team.
About the Role
- Lead the development and delivery of high-quality nutrition and food service practices across all Infinite Care homes.
- Support clinical outcomes, menu design, and mealtime experiences, ensuring compliance with aged care quality standards.
- Partner with care, hospitality, lifestyle, and leadership teams to provide person-centred, culturally inclusive, and clinically effective nutrition care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical nutrition support for residents with complex needs.
- Design and approve nutritionally balanced menus, catering to texture modification, cultural diversity, and resident preferences.
- Conduct mealtime observations, coaching staff on best practices for dignity, inclusivity, and resident satisfaction.
- Promote food-first approaches to reduce reliance on supplements and implement fortified food programs.
- Deliver training sessions and resources to build staff capability in nutrition care.
- Lead compliance audits, assist in regulatory assessments, and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with Dietitians Australia.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in aged care or clinical nutrition settings.
- Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards (particularly Standard 6).
- Experience in menu development, malnutrition prevention, and food service collaboration.
- Proven ability to train and support multidisciplinary teams.
- Exceptional communication skills, innovative mindset, and a commitment to resident dignity and choice.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience in hospitality or food service consultancy within aged care.
- Knowledge of culturally and linguistically diverse dietary needs.
- Understanding of dementia-inclusive mealtime practices.
