The Opportunity

At Infinite Aged Care, our Laundry/Cleaner Assistants play a vital role in creating positive daily experiences for our residents. Reporting to the Hotel Services Team Leader, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality laundering service that meets the personal needs of residents while maintaining strict infection control standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment that supports the health and dignity of all residents.

About the Role

In this hands-on, fast-paced role, you will:

  • Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold all residents’ personal clothing in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure the hygiene of all laundered items, including residents’ clothes and other washable materials such as curtains, cleaning cloths, and mops.
  • Follow all regulatory and care home standards for laundry hygiene, fabric care and infection control.
  • Work collaboratively with the team, showing initiative, common sense, and a willingness to help others.
  • Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for residents, making every interaction meaningful.

This is a physically active role requiring daily bending, squatting, lifting, and pushing. You must be able to perform these tasks safely to protect yourself, your team, and our residents.

About You

  • Previous experience in a laundry, cleaning, or similar support role.
  • A warm, friendly and compassionate approach, with a genuine desire to support and engage with our residents.
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, with the ability to follow procedures and communicate clearly with your team.
  • Proactive in supporting residents in dining areas, helping to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free environment.
  • A confident problem-solver who can work independently, take initiative and adapt in a fast-paced setting.
  • Reliable, hardworking, flexible and with good availability to cover a variety of shifts.
