Our Personal Carer Assistant (PCAs) are highly interactive supporting our elderly residents, their families, and colleagues 7 days a week across morning and afternoon shifts. These roles are based at Tweed Heights care home with sweeping ocean views and tranquil landscaped garden setting (Tweed Aged Care Home | Northern Rivers NSW & Gold Coast QLD). Your everyday will see you working closely with the nursing, hospitality and resident engagement teams when performing your resident-centric care duties in a timely and compassionate manner surrounded by highly skilled and supportive senior carers and managers. About You

What is essential is that you have a passion to support older persons and the ability to “think on your feet” whilst being an excellent communicator, be empathic, display a positive "can-do" attitude to learn, care and be inspired by making a real difference in someone's life! Here is a more about the role;

  • A passion for making a difference to the elderly by being their personal carer in a positive manner ensuring privacy and dignity is respected at all times. including building positive relationships with their families
  • Very positive teamwork attitude, you are on time, offer to help, be supportive and be a fun team colleague that everyone loves to work with!
  • Ability to think on your feet ensuring our residents are the main focus as you will be making a difference to their lives everyday! We want to have Fun in our homes.
  • Excellent safety awareness to avoid our residents tripping, falling or hurting themselves - you need to be their extra eyes and ears!
  • Eligible to work in Australia
  • Ability to work across morning and afternoon shifts as we are a 7-day care home - think of a Hotel operations.
  • Own transport to access the location or have a reliable adult to drop off and pick up for shift work
  • Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or similar healthcare related course (you will be requested to show evidence of your enrolment and any placements)
  • Have a valid NDIS Workers Screening Clearance which is essential to work in the Aged Care sector (is not, we can support you to obtain)
  • Qualifications in First Aid, CPR and/or manual handling is an advantage

Our care roles are busy! Alot of bending, lifting, pushing and squatting to perform your duties safely. All candidates will be required to complete an online medical assessment to maintain personal and workplace safety standards.
