Our Personal Carer Workers are highly interactive supporting our elderly residents, their families, and colleagues. Work at any of our three Care Homes across Cairns, in Edge Hill, Caravonica or Edmonton. This role will see you working closely with the nursing, hospitality and resident engagement teams when performing your resident-centric care duties in a timely and compassionate manner surrounded by highly skilled and supportive senior carers and managers. The attached position description outlines specific job duties and accountabilities.

Ideally you will bring

  • A passion for choosing a career where you can make a difference and willingness to help our company deliver quality of care services everyday!
  • Very positive teamwork attitude, a trusted co-worker, excellent time management (we are a shift driven workplace including handovers) and follow strict safety procedures at all times to maintain a high standard of workplace safety.
  • Computer savvy including using emails, word and navigating inhouse training platforms.
  • Excellent workplace safety awareness to avoid our residents tripping, falling or hurting themselves - you need to be their extra eyes and ears.
  • Nursing students - completed 1st year/ stage 1 nursing studies with a placement in Aged Care.
  • For non-nursing students Qualifications in Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) OR Disability are required. If you are enrolled and currently studying a Certificate in Aged Care you may also be considered and encouraged to apply.
  • Hold the NDIS Workers Screening Clearance as this is essential to work in the Aged Care sector. (*or willingness to obtain)
