Ian Martin Workforce has partnered with a high technology company that offers production solutions of machine tools, laser technology, and electronics. in this role, the primary responsibility is daily semiconductor laser production in all areas of the TUSP wafer fab, including set-up, qualifying, and running production equipment.

You will be doing…

  • Complete work according to documented instructions, in a tightly controlled cleanroom environment. 
  • Qualify tools and equipment for use according to engineering standards.
  • Perform assembly and lensing of laser modules and Pump Sources.
  • Handle chemicals used in the process according to TUSP Safety standards.
  • Test process results on stated parameters using test equipment.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area.
  • Follow TRUMPF Quality Standard (TQS).
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Cross-train with other Production Technicians at TUSP

Why this is the right job for you…

  • High School education required, Associates' Degree in Electronic Technology or related field preferred.  
  • Must have knowledge of at least one of the following process areas: die bonding, wire bonding, packaging, device testing and burn in, or any relevant experience as a production technician in a GaAs wafer fab.
  • Must have basic knowledge of SPC concepts.
  • Must be able to wear a smock covering the entire body while working. 
  • Position requires working with chemicals, gases, and microscopes. 
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate an extremely high level of precision and accuracy. 
  • Must be able to maintain documentation in a clear and understandable fashion.  
  • Able to work independently and demonstrate an extremely high level of precision and accuracy.
  • Able to commit to schedule, reliable transportation to and from site; flexible to work overtime when needed
  • Willingness to ask questions and work safely at all times
  • Pre-employment Drug & Alcohol testing and Criminal Record Check is required
