Ian Martin Workforce has partnered with a company that is concerned an essential service, they produce parts for mining. They are seeking all levels of Welders that have experience with GMAW (MIG) in Stainless and Mild Steel. Fabrication experience would be an asset but also willing to train.
What you will be doing…
Use various hand, power, hydraulic and pneumatic tools, and equipment
Welding 1/8 inch to 3-inch carbon steel using GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (Fluxcore) processes
Set up and Perform SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, air carbon arc gouging, etc.
Setup and operate machinery like ironworkers, drill press, beveling machines, fuel heating, and cutting equipment
Prepare welding joints as per specification
Able to set up and operate welding fixtures and rolls for manual and machine welding
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
Being an active participant in meetings and safety talks
Why this is for you…
Experience with welding in various positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead), and gauging/back gauging (air carbon arc)
Have all your own welding PPE including helmet, gloves, safety footwear
Confident in passing an on-site CWB weld test
Experience with UT welding an asset
Experience with Fluxcore (FCAW) and Metalcore (MCAW) welding techniques is an asset
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Afternoon Shift: Mon to Thurs (4:00pm to 3:30am) plus 5% Shift Differential
