Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Communicate regularly with customers to gather information related to technical issues.
  • Capable to perform inspections and service on various models of overhead cranes/lifting devices as per CSA-B167
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical/Mechanical components used on overhead cranes and similar equipment.
  • Perform preventative scheduled maintenance and repairs to ensure the safe and proper working order of overhead cranes and similar equipment.
  • Review technical inquiries of customers to recommend possible solutions related to the operation or maintenance.
  • Provide red carpet Customer Service on-site with customers.
  • Represent the company by being a subject matter expert on technical calls to support the sales team
  • Being Proactive & proposing a good technical solution to increase customer equipment durability, reliability, productivity & safety
  • Maintain Inventory

 

Education and Work Experience:

  • Electromechanical Engineering Technician program or equivalent degree
  • 433A Certification Millwright OR 442A Industrial Electrician Certification OR Red Seal Certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of CSA B167 (2008, 2016)
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical skills
  • At least 3 years of related work experience
  • Working at Heights Certification
  • Manlift Certification 
  • Driver license G with a clean driver abstract
  • Welding experience an asset

  • Ability to solve technical problems.
  • Ability to communicate issues to customers.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions
  • High degree of initiative and flexibility
  • Ability to work variable hours, overtime and/or "on call" as needed
  • Ability to work autonomously & within a team environment always.
