Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Communicate regularly with customers to gather information related to technical issues.
- Capable to perform inspections and service on various models of overhead cranes/lifting devices as per CSA-B167
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical/Mechanical components used on overhead cranes and similar equipment.
- Perform preventative scheduled maintenance and repairs to ensure the safe and proper working order of overhead cranes and similar equipment.
- Review technical inquiries of customers to recommend possible solutions related to the operation or maintenance.
- Provide red carpet Customer Service on-site with customers.
- Represent the company by being a subject matter expert on technical calls to support the sales team
- Being Proactive & proposing a good technical solution to increase customer equipment durability, reliability, productivity & safety
- Maintain Inventory
Education and Work Experience:
- Electromechanical Engineering Technician program or equivalent degree
- 433A Certification Millwright OR 442A Industrial Electrician Certification OR Red Seal Certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of CSA B167 (2008, 2016)
- Excellent mechanical and electrical skills
- At least 3 years of related work experience
- Working at Heights Certification
- Manlift Certification
- Driver license G with a clean driver abstract
- Welding experience an asset
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to solve technical problems.
- Ability to communicate issues to customers.
- Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions
- High degree of initiative and flexibility
- Ability to work variable hours, overtime and/or "on call" as needed
- Ability to work autonomously & within a team environment always.
