If you consider yourself a self-driven, responsible, high-energy Crane Technician that can provide flexible on-call support to customer sites across the GTA, then look no further and apply today!
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Communicate regularly with customers to gather information related to technical issues.
Capable to perform inspections and service on various models of overhead cranes/lifting devices as per CSA-B167
Troubleshoot and repair electrical/Mechanical components used on overhead cranes and similar equipment.
Perform preventative scheduled maintenance and repairs to ensure the safe and proper working order of overhead cranes and similar equipment.
Review technical inquiries of customers to recommend possible solutions related to the operation or maintenance.
Provide red carpet Customer Service on-site with customers.
Represent the company by being a subject matter expert on technical calls to support the sales team
Being Proactive & proposing a good technical solution to increase customer equipment durability, reliability, productivity & safety
Maintain Inventory
Education and Work Experience:
Electromechanical Engineering Technician program or equivalent degree
433A Certification Millwright OR 442A Industrial Electrician Certification OR Red Seal Certification (preferred)
Knowledge of CSA B167 (2008, 2016)
Excellent mechanical and electrical skills
At least 3 years of related work experience
Working at Heights Certification
Manlift Certification
Driver license G with a clean driver abstract
Welding experience an asset
Skills and Abilities
Ability to solve technical problems.
Ability to communicate issues to customers.
Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions
High degree of initiative and flexibility
Ability to work variable hours, overtime and/or "on call" as needed
Ability to work autonomously & within a team environment always.
