Ian Martin Workforce has partnered with a high technology company that offers production solutions of machine tools, laser technology, and electronics. In this role, you will be responsible to support Optical Components Production and Process Engineering. This includes process control/sustaining of existing processes, supporting the development of new processes, and supporting maintenance with equipment troubleshooting. You will be the initial point of contact to resolve quality, yield, or process issues and will have the ability to run production equipment if required.

You will be doing…

  • Follow instructions provided by the Process owners and provide detailed reports on findings. Supports Equipment and Processes of various complexity.
  • Rotation through multiple areas and demonstrate the ability to support independently.
  • Supports production equipment and processes.
  • Supports with work instructions and OCAPs.
  • Works closely with more senior staff and takes direction well.
  • Able to develop productivity skills and best practices.
  • Capable of taking well-defined sub-tasks and completing these tasks in a reasonable time frame.
  • Supporting process control/sustaining of existing processes using JMP.
  • Capable to create/modify/adjust recipes to support R&D.
  • Support function to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
  • Collection of scrap/hold information to support more senior staff with 4D/8Ds.
  • Tracking/reporting of process yield data
  • Support process changes and ECNs.

  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills as well as a desire to be part of and lead to solutions are critical
  • Associate degree in Physics, Math, Electronics or Engineering is preferred
  • At least 1 year of hands on experience in a manufacturing environment and/or vacuum processing equipment
  • Experience with delicate optics a must.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Good vision with acute `hand-eye coordination 
  • Able to work independently and demonstrate an extremely high level of precision and accuracy.
  • Able to commit to schedule, reliable transportation to and from site; flexible to work overtime when needed
  • Willingness to ask questions and work safely at all times
  • Pre-employment Drug & Alcohol testing and Criminal Record Check is required
