  • Pay Range $80,000-$130,000/ annual with RRSP and Benefits

Ian Martin Workforce is working alongside a reputable engineering firm that has been in business for over 30 years specializing in land use planning, environmental services, and Structural and Civil and Water Resources Engineering

We are looking to engage highly motivated Land Development Engineers that will be responsible for leading land development projects including rural and urban subdivision developments, as well as some commercial, institutional and residential site plans within Ontario

Day to Day Responsibilities: 

  • Preparation of proposals, including project scoping, budgeting, and scheduling. Management of project schedule and budget upon award.
  • Lead preliminary and detailed design package preparation for approval by municipalities and other approval authorities
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams.
  • Compile specifications and special provisions into tender documents and supervise the tender process, including construction cost estimating.
  • Review and interpret requirements of development agreements and certify completion of construction.
  • Liaise with internal and external clients, including staff, clients, agencies, and sub-consultants.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A University Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario (P.Eng. with PEO).
  • Minimum ten (10) years of Civil/Municipal Engineering experience, in a lead designer and/or project management role.
  • Strong competency in infrastructure and road design, grading, and tendering.
  • Familiar with and experience applying municipal design standards in southern Ontario, TAC Geometric Design Guidelines, MECP Environmental Compliance Approvals, and Ontario Provincial Standards and Specifications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound communication and municipal engineering design and project management skills coupled with a desire to carry projects from concept to construction are essential for this position.
