Our client, the third largest producer of Canadian oil and natural gas and the second largest refiner and upgrader with extensive midstream and downstream infrastructure, has an immediate need for a Financial Analyst to provide financial analysis and support of Downstream Manufacturing. This is a contract position for six (6) months located in Calgary, Alberta.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate financial results for Downstream Manufacturing.
  • Liaise with business operations to receive their performance monthly report to consolidate into the Downstream Operated and Non-Operated reports.
  • Validate data provided by business unit finance teams prior to consolidation.
  • Provide analysis to support Management Discussion and Analysis and press release information.
  • Work with the business to consolidate Safety and Solomon metrics.
  • Provide financial information in support of business KPIs.
  • Work with Downstream Manufacturing Finance Teams to identify impact of Corporate initiatives on business unit finance.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests and participate in ad hoc projects as required.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of Financial Analysis experience and a background in Finance
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management in a professional manner
  • Ability to provide guidance in all financial areas including reporting and planning
  • Able to interpret and communicate financial information with Clarity
  • Advanced Excel Training
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Economics
  • Good understanding of how Finance processes and systems operate
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, financial, control and reporting skills
  • Strong impact, interpersonal, networking and communication skills
